Our weird behaviour during the pandemic is messing with AI models

Consumption has changed and machine-learning models are showing cracks. The changes in human activity due to the coronavirus pandemic is having yet another surprising effect in the least imaginable places. This time, it's AI models that have been taking the hit. Modelled after what have been 'normal human behaviours', recent developments are "causing hiccups for the algorithms that run behind the scenes in inventory management, fraud detection, marketing, and more."
