A philosopher argues that an AI can’t be an artist

Creativity is, and will always be, a human endeavour. Advances in Artificial Intelligence (AI) have led many to believe that humans will be replaced by machines in every part of life. However, Sean Dorrance Kelly — a professor of philosophy at Harvard University — argues that the unique and socially embedded elements of creativity mean that AI will never be able to capture this aspect of humanity.
